Alethia’s future is a blank slate: she has a new home, a new job, and nothing tying her down… or so she thinks. The only problem? Unbeknownst to her, the last few months of her life have been erased from her memory by Ascencio, Incorporated, her former employer. From the public's view, Ascencio, Inc. is a renowned institute specializing in mental health treatment, having had rapid success with its cutting-edge depression-curing serum. But on the inside, Odeza, Alethia’s former co-worker turned love interest, has pulled back the curtain on the company's malevolent schemes.

And he's not the only one. 

The Dissenters, a ragtag group of revenge-seekers, are plotting to undermine the dubious corporation. When Odeza crosses their path, he hopes they can help him save Alethia, who is now paying the price for questioning Ascencio. But he soon meets opposition from the leader of the Dissenters, who despises and distrusts him for being an Ascencio employee.
